A Vegan Diet Reduces Liver Fat and Improves Insulin Sensitivity in Overweight People
After 16 weeks on a low-fat vegan diet, the participants lost 14 lbs on average, their liver fat decreased by 34%, their postprandial metabolism increased by 14%, and their insulin sensitivity improved significantly.
Two Meals a Day Are Better for People with Type 2 Diabetes than Six.
This randomized cross-over trial showed that when eating two big meals a day (breakfast and lunch), people with type 2 diabetes lost more weight and liver fat, their insulin sensitivity improved more, and they felt less hungry and reported less depressive symptoms than when whey were eating six small meals throughout the day.
